Looking for a great projector for sewing? The Yaber V2 is a great little projector suited well for those looking to mount a projector on the ceiling and have at least 52” from ceiling to cutting surface!

Overview of the Yaber V2 Review
The Yaber V2 doesn’t get much spotlight in the sewing circles, but it is very similar to the Vivimage projector. The Yaber V2 was released in June 2020 and comes with a 3-year warranty.
It has a native resolution of 720p and 6000:1 contrast ratio. You can connect through HDMI, screen mirroring technology, and Chromecast. One of the differences is that instead of all the cords coming out of the side of the projector, the power cord is in the back of the projector. If you were trying to mount as close to the top of the ceiling as possible, that might get in the way. More often than not, the projector mount doesn’t get close enough to the ceiling to make a difference.

The throw ratio of the Yaber V2 is 1.29 which is less than the Acrojoy and Vivimage Explore 2. This means with 60” of throw distance from lens to cutting surface, you will get an image that is 50” diagonal. It will create an image larger than an A1 mat at 44” long and 24” wide.
Throw Distance of the Yaber V2
The throw distance is 3.4 feet up to 14.4 feet. This means you need at least 3.4 feet to create a focused image and can put it up to 14.4 feet away from the table. If you have high ceilings, then you can get a very large image with the Yaber V2 projector.
Brightness
Like most mini projectors, the brightness is not measured using ANSI lumens. This means, it is not really comparable to other projectors. The LED lumens listed is 6,000.
Contrast
The Yaber V2 has a contrast ratio of 6,000:1. This is twice the contrast as the Vivimage Explore 2 (3000:1) and almost half of the Acrojoy (10,000:1).
Connections
The Yaber V2 offers many connection types including HDMI, Wireless (screen mirroring), USB, and VGA. It is great for wired and wireless connections.
Body Style
The Yaber V2 has a pretty standard mini projector body style. The physical dimension is 4.33″ x 11.80″ x 7.10″. It weighs 2.2 lbs. This size makes it easy to mount on the ceiling. The connection ports (HDMI, VGA, USB) all exit the side of the projector. One difference between the Acrojoy or Vivimage is that the power cable does exit the back of the projector. You will need to have room for the power cable between the ceiling and projector. The Yaber V2 has a single mount (M5 screw hole) on the back of the projector.
Calibration
Calibration of the Yaber V2 should be similar to other mini projectors such as the Vivimage and Acrojoy. Follow along on the calibration article on how to accurate scale the zoom for pattern projecting.

Mounting the Yaber V2
As stated before, the Yaber V2 has a single-point mount screw hole. Universal single-point projector mounts will work for the Yaber. Another option is to use the mounts created by Basic Niche.
