Projector bulbs can be purchased from a variety of retailers, including electronics stores, office supply stores, and online marketplaces such as Amazon and Best Buy. Some projector manufacturers also sell replacement bulbs on their own websites. Additionally, you can check with the local projector repair shop to purchase the projector bulbs.
The great thing about projectors that use bulbs is that you can replace the bulbs when they go out. Unlike the cheaper mini projectors, that do not have replaceable bulbs.
Whether you are using a projector for movies, business, art, or even sewing, it’s important to know where you can buy projector bulbs.
Here are a few places I found Epson projector bulb replacements.
Amazon
Everyone knows you can find almost anything on Amazon! Projector bulbs are no exception! I typed in the Brand name and model number of my Espon Powerlite 575W and quickly found a compatible projector bulb. Many of the descriptions even have a diagram on how to change the bulb.
I even compare the part number on my bulb to what came up in search and they matched! (ELPLP79) Make sure to read the product description. They also state the compatible projectors.

eBay
If you’re familiar with eBay, it should be no surprise that you can find replacement projector bulbs there. You can find anything under the sun on eBay!
I searched eBay for “Epson 575W lamp” and it came up with a “genuine OEM lamp” that was the correct replacement part. Best yet, it was the cheapest out of all the options I researched at around $35!
Many of the sellers on eBay offer free shipping and returns! So, make sure to read the details.
Manufacture Website
Many manufacture websites sell replacement lamps and parts. I went to Epson.com and searched “Epson Powerlite 575W bulbs”. It came up with research results. I had to refine the results by selecting “lamps” on the left hand side. But, then it brought up several lamp options.
The first bulb to come up was not the same bulb that I had in my machine, so I highly recommend looking at the specific bulb number. I remove the old lamp from the projector and read “ELPLP79” on the side. Since I wanted an exact replacement, I typed the part number in the search bar.
A replacement bulb that matched the part number came right up. This is a “genuine Epson ELPLP79 ultra high efficiency (UHE) projector lamp”. But, unfortunately it was out of stock.
It is worth checking the manufacture website to see if your bulb replacement is in stock.
My Projector Lamps USA
My Projector Lamps is a website store dedicated to selling replacement lamps and bulbs for projectors. They make it easy to find the right one by letting you search the Make and Model of your projector. Then, they will give you the bulb you need to buy. They serve many countries including U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil, the Netherlands, Australia, Japan and India.
They sell “General Original Lamp” bulbs which they explain as: “Genuine Original Lamp Inside” refers to OEM (original equipment manufacturer) bare projector bulbs – made by Philips, Osram and Ushio – these companies manufacture genuine original parts for all major projector brands. Genuine original bulbs are manufactured to the identical strict quality control requirements as are found in original modules.” -My Projector Lamps
Conclusion
There you have it! Four places where you can look to buy projector bulbs!
The cheapest place to buy a replacement projector bulb was eBay, with Amazon being a close second.
Now you can sit back and get back to movies, presentations, and sewing!
