Hello!
Yes, have a new document open on the canvas. This can be any size under 200″ x200″. This is where you will place all the images. 150″x150″ will give you plenty of space to work with.

I notice that you already have something opened in Affinity Designer before you chose “Place” and selected your images. What should I “open” in AD before trying to place my images?
